That is all. And yes, one Miata will burn tonight to satisfy my disappointment. Not in the car, but that bullshit "reveal".

He drew it out as long as he could.

It's red and on fire. Clearly it's a ferrari, bro.

How not to do a reveal. Terrible. So bad. A car that is cliched as a secretaries car? Lets have Duran Duran play a set. A car that people want as a drivers car? Lets not mention one bit of its specs.

Imagine if Toyota/Subaru later release a supercharged FRS/BRZ roadster.
That would create some competition for the Miata.
Because BOXER ENGINES RULE!

I agree .
Massive delays between segments.
Duran Duran singing off key.
Audio problems multiple times.
Not saying anything enlightening about the car beyond talking a bunch of designer talk. "Look at the surfacing. Look at the volumes. There are no lines on the side of the car. We wanted a more aspirational look to the interior."
The only specs that were mentioned: LED headlights & foglights, 16" or 17" wheels depending on trim.
How hard could it possibly have been to have a script, and you know, stick to it?

Kill the Miata

Times are changing for the worst. The Mustang had a much better reveal, but at least we got something from it!! And the V6 is referred to as a secretaries car!
Shame on you, Duran Duran and Mazda.

Toyota seemed to just release that and was like "look we can still make cheap fun cars, now go away" and then stopped caring.

This smelled of marketing board of directors garbage the entire time. I was disgusted really. It's like some 80 year old man was running this. Totally out of touch.

Not only did they not tell us anything we actually wanted to learn about the car, they just did a shitty job with the webcast.
